Ibrahim becomes a diving instructor

Terry of TDI has worked in Dahab, Egypt since 2004 and has expereinced the excellent service Ibrahim provides to divers at Reef 2000.  Ibrahim has been taking scuba divers and their equipment to diving sites in his truck for over 6 years now.  He is there early every day and is well known for his friendliness and helpfulness to all divers at the Reef 2000 Dive Centre in Dahab www.reef2000.org

TDI International granted Ibrahim an International Development Grant 3 years ago.  The grant has paid for the registration fees to PADI for 4 diving qualifications to enable Ibrahim to be qualified to lead and instruct recreational scuba-divers and so develop his earning capacity for him and his family who live in the Bedouin village nearby - for more information about PADI go to  www.padi.com .  Reef 2000 have trained Ibrahim at no cost to recognise his excellent service to them and their guests.

The partnership between TDI and Reef2000 has enabled Ibrahim to learn to swim well and then pass his PADI Open Water , Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver qualifications during the last 3 years.  Now he has completed the course for his Dive Master qualification and is able to enjoy guiding divers in the beautiful clear waters of Dahab.

Sabri works as a senior dive instructor at Bedouin Moon Hotel and, as he is Egyptian, he was able to offer linguistic support in Arabic to Ibrahim who has limited use of written english.  Our grateful thanks to Sabri for his assistance to Ibrahim with his written tests for his Dive Master qualification.
